Michael is an automotive and landscape photographer based in San Francisco. Born and raised in Metro Detroit, he carries his Motor City roots with him in the form of a Detroit Tigers hat and a passion for the auto industry.

After discovering his eye for photography in 2009, he swiftly pursued an education in photography at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Years later, a trip to the Bay Area ultimately inspired his cross-country move to California. Captivated by the West Coast’s dramatic wilderness and world-class cities, Michael brings his clients’ visions to life by creatively showcasing his subjects in these natural and urban environments.

In 2018, while on assignment for Ram Trucks, Michael became frustrated by the lack of resources to find the best places to take photos leading him to cofound Explorest—an app designed to help people discover and photograph the world’s most picturesque locations. Today, Explorest has captivated a global audience of 1M+ people and works with over 170 of the world’s most talented photographers who help populate the app's thousands of locations across 20 countries.
